Some long-range selfies from a quick 9.1mi (1,600ft elevation gain) hike to Lion's Head, in the Dolly Sods Wilderness. I'd hoped to get to the Lion's Head vista by sunrise - I began at 5:20am from the Red Creek Trailhead, hiking the first 1.25hrs by headlamp - but inexplicably chose the Little Stonecoal Trail to head up, rather than the Big Stonecoal Trail. This added an additional 1.7mi, which meant that I missed sunrise by around 45min. Oh well, the light was nice, and I still had a lot of fun up top.
PS. You might need to squint to see me for a few of these 'selfies'.
It took quite a bit of effort get in position for this one
