I've done Aravaipa 3 times now, most recently in the winter which has its own set of challenges. If you are looking for a destination in the desert southwest, this is tough to beat. A permit is required and can be tough to get, the video shows you how to do it:

My favorite place in the Southwest. Nice video. I have not been since the great flood. I assume that it has recovered well.

My favorite place in the Southwest. Nice video. I have not been since the great flood. I assume that it has recovered well. It has recovered quite well. The river changes course a bit every time there's a flood, but that's the nature of it. Thanks for watching!
