Hello - it's been a while since I posted... but I'm wondering if anyone is doing any dayhikes or overnights later this spring/summer/fall in Northern CA? It's greening up and it should be a good season for wildflowers 
I'm based in Redding and I'm a 45 year old woman and have been backpacking most of my life. I usually hike solo or with my 10-yo son - and often with dogs (I have 2 rescue mutts). I love exploring nature, identifying plants and taking photos, so usually don't hike too fast or far. My dayhiking limit is about 10 miles/day and backpacking is around 6 miles/day.
Some places I'd love to explore include:
Lassen NP:
Cliff, Shadow and Terrace Lakes
Mill Creek Falls
Redwood NP: Tall Trees Grove
Shasta-Trinity NF:
Gray Rock Lake
Horse Camp
Gray Butte
North Yolla Bolly Lake
Upper Bidwell Park in Chico
Ishi Wilderness
Cache Creek Wilderness
