Would that be the route you are on or the route you are photographing? The route I am climbing in the photo How about Gothics Mountain? ( topo) Correct! Travis, you're up! Bonus Points #1: It is probably called the "east face," though it is oriented slightly south of east. You keep getting warmer.

Looking at the ratings in Mountain Project, there are three routes that would be a "casual" free solo on Gothics. Looking at the low res topo, I'm guessing "Sagrada Familia"

I'm guessing "Sagrada Familia" So, so close. Easy fix if you go back to my clue "This route was one of the first technical ascents in North America"

How about Gothics Mountain? ( topo) Correct! Travis , you're up! I'd just as soon let someone else post the next one. I don't have much for good photos left. I just answered to keep the thread from slipping away. After all, it's been 10 days since you posted the photo.

The date, the location, the mountain, and the route climbed? Any entertaining answer accepted.

The year is 1982. Judged by the mullet which was popularized by Fast Times at Ridgmont High. A Mountain Dew shirt which confirms my suspicions(not that there is anything wrong with that) that both of you were higher than $&@“. Looks dry according to the background so probably September or August. I’m guessing you didn’t climb any mountains but passed out listening to the Eagles?
Oh one more thing, why would you take a spaghetti squash to go climb a mountain?

i.e. the 'original' clue? Correct! First ascent 1896! Well, that would have to be the "Original Route" then.

The date, the location, the mountain, and the route climbed? Judging from the steepness, I was thinking Mt. Sunflower. However, with Mt. Sunflower being so far above treeline, the trees in the background suggest otherwise.

The date, the location, the mountain, and the route climbed? For the record: August 1988, Lupine Meadows TH, Grand Teton, Direct Exum. I think marmotstew is up?
