I have two of their lightweight Flash vests. Great products, btw. But as of late I rarely see any of their vests available for sale on any websites. Does anyone know what is going on with WM? I hope WM is doing well financially, as I’d hate to see them go under.
Regards,
DR

They are still available on the WM website. Men's in Black, Silver, or Brown. Women's in Black, Silver, or Plum. $255
Not sure what google-fu you missed, but try WM site next time.

You can’t buy direct on their website; you have to use one of their dealers. That’s why I was asking because for the last few years I haven’t see the vest available online at their dealer sites (as opposed to seeing it frequently in the past). DR

Campsaver is listing both L and M. Backcountry is listing XL only. Still don't know why you can't find any. link

I did see those. Not colors or sizes I want/wear. Like I said in the past you would be able to get all colors all sizes very easily. Very limited supply these days. Thx.

I have several WM items and many years ago I was lusting for one of those vests. Eventualy I bought one from Aldi that is about 2 oz heavier but has more down and a small collar as well as pockets and it was about $30 USD. Aldi only have them twice a year and in black only but maybe you could find similar items from stores like Uniqlo . Mine looks very much like this one : www.uniqlo.com/au/en/products/E452739-000?colorCode=COL09&sizeCode=SMA002

I bought mine probably 20 years ago online from Backcountry Gear in Eugene Oregon. www.backcountrygear.com/Looks like they still carry WM vests but sizes and colors are limited.

looks like some websites sell Western Mountaineering vests (flash and Flight) and that stock (colors, sizes) is limited. the WM website has a pretty long list of dealers, listed by state. Perhaps they don't focus as much on online sales, or perhaps the bulk of their sales are sleeping bags. I'm sure you could find a dealer in your vicinity and order through them.
someone mentioned feathered friends - the Eos down vest (down sweater weight, more like the flash) and Helios (more like the flight vest) are excellent, I have worn a Helios for a number of years. Very light, very high quality down. Feathered Friends sells direct. An alternative is Valandre if you want a vest that leans warmer/puffier. Valandre website or Telemark Pyrenees. I like their Troll jacket for the winter.
Feathered Friends and Valandre both run small, so it's worth considering sizing up if you go that route.
Canada Goose makes great premium down garments, but the brand has become so popular with non-outdoors people that the prices are excessive. a comparable down vest from Canada Goose will cost at least 2x these other brands.

I ended up getting a vest from them; it was in my mail this morning. Shipped yesterday, arrived today. Super quick delivery and in time for my birthday, too! Happy Trails, DR

I order WM products through the local climbing shop, imeut.com/Small business next to REI, Salt Lake City. Reputation, experience and being way cool counts.

I love Feathered Friends. Unfortunately, their vests and jackets don't fit me. I'd love to have their EOS down jacket, but it runs too small in the chest for me; same with their EOS and Helios vests. Too bad tey don't make custom orders anymore. Regards, DR
