They need something in the foreground for scale.
There seem to be 2 sizes of whale in the video I watched (2 mama whales in the drone shot?), but, without reference, no way to tell what I'm looking at.
And, yes, I do know they're one of the largest living things on earth, outside of trees. Am I missing something?
Only time I've seen Humpbacks in real life was on a snorkeling trip to Molokini in Hawaii. A couple of them breached and put on a show for the gang on the boat. They were totally unexpected, since we weren't on the "whale watching boat" which, BTW, saw no whales, so I got zero pictures.

The bigger description the FB link didn’t bother connecting to said there were two mom & baby pairs amongst the six.

In other words, if my figures are correct, a blue whale can be the length of two Greyhound buses parked end to end and weigh over 5 times as much as both together. And a blue whale can be 2.35 times as massive as the largest known dinosaur to date or 33 times as massive as an African elephant. What a feat of evolution that has been!

My oceanography profs ar Scripps were worried about them in the sixties and early seventies because the worldwide population density had dropped so low they were concerned the whales would find it impossible to meet each other for mating.
Then, Navy hydrophone networks used to monitor Soviet submarines were declassified and records revealed the whales could and were communicating from ocean basins spanning the entire southern oceans. Signaling between the South Atlantic and South Pacific, around the South American continent! The whales were exploiting density gradient sound channels and their ability to generate very specific frequencies to communicate over incredible distances. For something that large the world ocean is all their own neighborhood.
And so, once whale killing pressure was removed, they’ve bounced back.

One of my cooler wildlfie observations was at Point Reyes where we saw elk in the foreground and whales in the background at the same time.

Four or more tons of krill eaten a day. They cruise at 5 mph but can go 20.
