I hadn't had a clear night in over three weeks, but amazingly, it was absolutely perfect the night of the eclipse, other the the extremely low altitude at my location. What struck me as unique about this eclipse was the dense starfield it was passing through. Stars were constantly being occultated and reappearing. All photos taken with my 4-1/2" refractor.

I had clear skies for hours that evening and night—either side of the eclipse. At the actual time of the eclipse, it was dense clouds and rain. This one was not meant to be

The moon didn't rise above the moraine at Convict Lake until 10:05pm...about 1/3 of a crescent moon was showing post eclipse.
