Noted over at backcountrypost that west side of the Winds was in bad shape: 62% at Elkhart, but east side much better. Little Warm is at 100%. Absaroka's look bad: Castle Ck is at 62%. Sadly, seasonal outlook not good either.

Oldbill,
Without the data from the 70s and 80s "averages" have been lowered considerably with this unequivocally warming earth. The Little Warm Spring site is at almost 9,500'. The trend seems to be higher elevations are faring better EARLIER in the season but have melted out REALLY fast and much earlier than they used to. The East side of the Divide always gets more moisture in the Spring too but runoff is consistently peaking long before it used to all over the region.
