Twenty years ago, when I lived near the Ozarks, I had a really nice 50-degree bag made by Ferrino, an Italian company. The bag was well-made, looked great and worked well in the warm to hot climate of the Ozarks. I used it for several years before I gave it to my gf as she section-hiked the AT in Pennsylvania one summer.
I almost purchased one of their packs (back then)—-a real beauty—-but I got a killer deal on a Mt. Washington pack made by LL Bean. I was perusing online and noticed they were still around; been around since 1870. I’d like to see them have a bigger presence in the USA. I tend to favor Italian gear. Anyone here ever see or own Ferrino gear?
Regards,
DR

I sort of knew the name from having seen their gear in the local outdoor shop in the small town I grew up in, not all that far from their base in Turin. Their testing ground was (and I think still is) a mountain called Monte Rosa,( the Pink Mountain) one valley away from my town. About 10 years ago there was an importer for it here in Australia but it disappeared soon after. Most of the stuff they imported , tents and packs, were just the usual factory designs with the Ferrino name on them.

Sorry to hear the company changed. Thx, Franco.
