For those of you that have cold weather bags that do not have a draft collar, what do you do to improvise?

When I was in that unfortunate situation, I stuffed whatever I had around the blowhole. It was better than nothing.

A down vest is fluffy enough to serve.

All my cold bags/quilt have one. If I had one that didn't, I think I would seriously consider adding one. It would be straightforward to sew if you have basic sewing skills. If not, I imagine it would be pretty easy to pay someone to add one for you.

Sell it and buy a proper bag that has a draft collar for cold weather.
Seriously, pay someone to sew one on. It'll be cheaper than the new bag after you sell the old one. Any bag I've owned that was 5º or less came with a collar.

^this^ last. I’m curious what brand “cold weather” bag wouldn’t have a collar? What’s the temperature rating?
Though thinking about it that might reflect an era; my 1969 Berkeley Ski Hut Trailwise Chevron had 11” of original loft and no collar, and it was their winter bag.

Are any cold weather bags made in the 21st century made without draft collars?
