Great pics. As much as I like photography, life seems to get in the way of me getting out there. There is a reason why you're so good at your craft. It's called time invested. You could be naturally good at this but for the rest of the us, it takes time and effort.

You could be naturally good at this but for the rest of the us, it takes time and effort. When I was maybe 17yrs old and had maybe a couple of years of photography under my belt, a friend of mine, who had also picked up a camera about the same time as me, told me that "I had no photographic sense." So no, I wasn't naturally good at it. As you say, it took a lot of time and effort. Since I learnt everything on my own, it probably took even longer, but was all the more rewarding for it. I love worrying at a problem and trying to come up with ways to fix it. e.g. Currently, I can't get crisp photos of birds when I'm shooting at an upwards angle, with my camera mounted on a tripod. My current theory is that I need to replace my tripod's ball head with a gimbal head. I will probably do that at some point in time. Time. And as you say, not everyone can spare the time, or even be motivated enough to make the effort. I'm perfectly happy muddling my way through it all, in my own time.
