JimmyC took this photo, now his wife has asked for help in figuring out where it was? She says the "trip was to Zion, Sunset Crater, Lake Powell, etc. Of course I have a general idea, but perhaps you can pinpoint the location." Anybody have a good guess?  |

Absolutely Sunset Crater Volcano Nat'l Monument. I'd bet on the Northwest side of the main crater, looking north. Best as I can do, from memory and that pic. Google maps helped some.

That was my guess too, due to vegetation. JimmyC's wife has also decided it to be correct.
