I must say I’m pleasantly surprised to see this. I’d expected everyone to go crazy and block out the entire summer in minutes after it became available.

I think people are just oblivious, despite the media blitz of articles explaining the new system. Too many I've spoken to recently are completely unaware. They think it's just going to be the same as always... I told them, you better go to the website, so you don't get to the gate and get turned away....
Had someone who got a day pass thinking they needed it to go backpacking, too. More of the usual lack of reading comprehension.

I’ve now seen both Yosemite daily entries and Inyo Wilderness permits be unreliable via the recreation dot gov app. Available dates return “unavailable” in the app when selected, show the selection of ticket types in the iPhone mobile browser. For Inyo wilderness permits just aren’t listed that I can find with the app. Perfectly searchable with the browser.
Too bad as I’m a fan of the app generally. Used it last August into the fall for a coast to coast to coast road trip to great convenience.
