I received a free sample of this new-ish drink mix. Is it rhyming with done, or dune? Is it any good? I am not likely to spend any $ buying it, so the sample is wasted on me. I have a caffeine free Prime in a raspberry flavor, an Endurance in lemon-lime (might make a decent trailgherita), a Recover in lemonade, and a pill thing called Sport in strawberry lemonade. Not sure I will actually consume any of it, unless someone here can tell me it is better than Frosted Flakes.

I've always pronounced it like "noon". Not so new, I bought some seems like about 8 years ago. I don't care for it because it has a chemical-like flavor the same that Gatorade does to me, it's the electrolytes and such.

Drank about a third of one, then threw out the rest. Gatorade is ambrosia compared to this stuff. ... But maybe they changed the formula, zeke!

I've always thought it was "noon." The lemon+lime flavor is the only electrolyte drink I can tolerate. I've tried the tri-berry and strawberry lemonade and they were good at first, but halfway through a bottle, I was starting to gag. (I shudder just at the thought.) The lemon+lime is bearable for an entire bottle, even when it's no longer cold.
As far as free samples, well then you might give it a shot. Some people love this stuff.

I've never had it. I'm not a big believer in hydration drinks. But it sounds like it tastes like medicine so it must by good for you, right? If you eat a bunch of salty chips then a hydration drink it just some more salt and some sugar to boot. No balance there. A healthy amount of just water after the chips and there is a chance you might hit an salt electrolyte balance. At least the water isn't making it worse.

ErnieW, And the potato chips taste so much better than the “hydration drinks.” Yeah, I pretty much gag on those things. I’ll get my electrolytes through food, and drink water or synthetic lemonade if I need something that will encourage more drinking.
