Because I had given up plans for any early-season BPing, I hadn't been paying attention. I was surprised to see how low SWEs are across the southern and central Rockies.

I was just doing the same research. Wish I was better with the tools to see how this compares to last year and/or average. It'd be great to have more moisture before the monsoon thunderstorms kick in. Another big fire year would be a disaster.

Looks to be a drier than normal year in the Central Rockies: At least June had a decent amount of precipitation.

I've been struck at how rapidly the snow has disappeared from the north side of the San Juans in the last 2 weeks. It has been mostly hot and dry.
