Still a lot of unanswered questions here. The original story posted was lacking in details and very odd if you ask me. There is more we are not being told or someone has closed lips.

Can't find it now, but saw one report she was on some two-week fasting/vision quest kinda thing.

The story still doesn't add up. Where was she really during that time and what were her water sources?

I read that the lady from Zion was on a vision quest. That makes more sense. I too can't find the source now.
A person who was doing that would have plenty of places on the West side of the Virgin River and north of Angel's Landing to hide for a while.

Agreed. I'm not familiar with Zion at all, but you either packed in gallons of water or had access somehow. The head injury thing does not pass the sniff test at all. Couldn't move, but sat next to the river for 10 days to drink? Then walked out? Nope.

She says she knew the Cyanobacteria toxin made the river a hazard. So she did not drink from it.
So that’s 12 days without water. In Zions dry environment that’s chancy. Even not moving, breathing costs you water...

There are side springs from which she could get water.

Why couldn't the dogs find her if she was always so close to where she started? She had to have been somewhere other than where was claimed.

There are side springs from which she could get water. Though at least her daughter says she didn’t. But, everything is rather second hand.
