With my extended couch time (well, tbh, an LL Bean Presidential rocker) I’ve been poking about Netflix and ran across the Scott Bakula Star Trek:Entrrprise. Looks like fun.
Whatcha watching?
(And if you’re not: I won’t judge)
(Too much)

Vera is great. We're also watching Broadchurch and Hinterland, but they are not as good as Vera

Yes, we've seen all of Broadchurch and Hinterland when they were on PBS... I like them, but they're definitely not "charming" like Vera. Strangely not all seasons of Vera were shown on PBS, so since we just got Acorn and Britbox, we're going back through and watching them all. Vera is great Pet!
BTW, "Shetland" is another good series.

Forget to mention Lewis---which came on last night on our local PBS station. Excellent--the "Son of Morse."

Yes, Lewis is outstanding. Seen them all more than once. Where would American TV be without the British?

JAG, BBC nature productions, NOVA, Shakespeare and operas, but the latter have diminished significantly since BRAVO no longer has cultural programs and PBS has them only occasionally. Turner Classic Movies has a good selection of oldies, especially those based on Alister McLean novels.

Am I the only one that's found NOVA has slipped? It seems like over the past few years it's been redesigned for a 13 year old audience. Far too much "sound design" and overstimulated graphics. And talk about redundancy in content over a 1 hour show, they remake the same points ad infinitum. Feels like sizzle over substance.
Maybe I'm just getting old...

You are getting old. And so are the rest of us. And NOVA is trying to reach a younger and less focused audience. Which means we often find the programs exactly as you have described them. sigh

My TV's been turned off for a month or two. Have I missed something worthwhile?

It is NOT the Kardashians, which is playing on two channels at the same time...E! and Bravo. Ugh.
