It is indeed good stuff. The down jacket repaired with Kenyon tape has held for over ten years now.
I have always cleaned the surface with alcohol and then used a hair dryer before sticking the tape. I agree that it probably won’t be effective with silnylon. Nothing sticks to that stuff easily.
I just wasn’t sure if it would hold after a turn in the washing machine but it did and I have a fresh Nanopuff for winter now. It seems like the washing treatment also kind of fluffed the Primaloft Gold a bit.

Gear Aid now have silnylon patches. I have no idea how thy work but they exist....

I see this post coming around again. Since 2020 I traded off a sun-stroked Montbell winter down parka that was ripping out randomly. The down will live again (est 650-700 fill) in a friend's bootie project. Last hear I found a nice looking lost TNF woman's jacket left out in the sagebrush near Cody WY. When I touched it, the shell gave way and spilled down everywhere. Solar radiation is real.
