Hello, I have been reading and pouring over paper maps and different online topo maps. I pretty much understand the route, except for 1 part. I've read once you come off the glacier that there is a high route that avoids most of the Bush wacking and low, straight forward following a stream/river. I would really like to avoid hours of bushwacking. I haven't been able to piece together and visualize the high route. Can anyone help me understand that piece or throw me a bone with a couple of waypoints to help me out. Thanks
Jim

Welcome hikerjim. I'm not sure what Seven Pass route is but I navigate off-trail primarily in the Northwest so I can probably help you out if you point me toward your area or some coordinates.

tigger It is in Denali, from Iceberg Lake to Bremer Mines. Several guide services use this as a premier bp'ing trip in Alaska.

It's called the Seven Pass Route in Wrangell National park in Alaska. I've done 1 fly in trip there about 10 years ago, but this is in a different area. We have also done hiking in Denali also and did plenty of bushwacking in there before and no how big of a hassle it is. So, just trying to minimize as much of it as I can.

Sure Jim, put it up. Appears none of us know the area, but maybe we could toss out ideas.
