I went looking for Snowy Owls on Presque Isle - a sand bar that juts out into Lake Erie - this morning. I was unsuccessful in that pursuit, but did get to see some cool ice formations:

Stunning, as always, with more than a hint of frigid air. I enjoy the contrasts between the moving water and the frigid, frozen driftwood and the long hairy ice beards. It's interesting to imagine how the icicles melt then freeze, while the water continues to lap the beach and edges of the icicle sculptures.
