Hi everybody,
First post here. I lost a katadyn pocket water purifier on a hike from September 1st thru September 4th in the wind river Indian reservation St Lawerence basin trailhead.
I believe it fell out of my backpack due to a faulty zipper at some point during my hike out. Please get ahold of me if you miraculously found it. It was a gift from my parents and is a great purifier.
I apologize if this was posted in the wrong thread.
Thank you

This is just fine for your post. You are welcome to post it in the Trailhead and introduce yourself as well. Be aware there will be strange questions about Beets, and such...
I hope you find your purifier and welcome to the forums.

You might contact the Shoshone and Arapahoe Tribes since the number of people on that trail is pretty limited because of permitting cost.

FYI a lot of people are going to be doing a double-take with your name. Nothing wrong with it, but another well loved member of the forum "ChuckD" was killed by a tree while camping a few years ago.
Welcome.

Your mention of "St Lawrence Basin" TH brought back some memories for me. In July of 1969 we backpacked out of there and headed into the reservation in the Wind Rivers. We were camped at Deadman's Lake the day Neil Armstrong first walked on the moon. I remember we looked at the moon that evening but couldn't spot Neil. The fishing was excellent. Good luck with your waterpump. It's a longshot that you'll get it back. (It's a little used trailhead.) Trekkerman in Pinedale.
