August 5th to August 11th. Cave Falls to Shoshone geyser basin and back. It was my 3rd time in the park but my first time backpacking in the park. Iris Falls, Mr Bubbles and the Shoshone basin were definitely the highlights of the trip. The mosquitoes were SWARMING the whole time lol

Great trip. Usually by August the mosquitoes have dropped off. But, I suppose with last winter's snowpack things were pushed back a couple of weeks this year. But, I love that trip, and you had several days to do it in. Most of the time when I went there, I was working in the park. So, that meant a 15-mile hike from either Bechlar or Old Faithful to Mr. Bubbles on the first day-off, and 15 miles back out on the 2nd. I did go there once, though, when not working, and could take some time.

Did you make it to Boundary Creek and Dunanda Falls?
