Has anyone done this trek? Just looking for tips, what to watch out for, accessibility, water availability on trail, best route etc.
Is September a good time? Thank You

Never hiked that area, but September should be awesome. Better to go mid-late September and be ready for a snow flurry or two, but nothing serious. Could be hot as well. Late September-October in the sierra are some of the best times to be there.

Is September a good time? Have you left yet? September is probably is the best time (a lot less mosquitoes for one thing)but there are rare exceptions. I have seen snow in September but it's rather rare. -Don- Auburn, CA |
