I hiked this beautiful, diverse loop this weekend. It is a trail that offers a taste of everything: views, waterfalls, gorges, lakes, wetlands, scenic streams, big rocks, hemlock forests, and even ruins. The Hall of Hemlocks is such a beautiful hike through a deep green forest of hemlocks, ground pine, and moss. Cherry Run is gorgeous as it tumbles down a gorge with rapids and small waterfalls. The hike ended at serene Beech Lake, its clear water revealing the rocks and gravel below.
