You certainly won't go wrong with that suspension. And, I have to admit, there is something about the aesthetics of whoopies that appeals to me. The only drawback of this particular system is that it is slightly less versatile than using a marlin spike hitch, because the whoopies must be attached to the end of the tree straps. A friend of mine uses the whoopie hook complete suspension, and he has been very happy with it.

Well as it turns out I ended with the hammock chair in cloud 71 material and using the beetle buckle. Keeping it simple is good for a hammock newbie like me and I actually got to use it on my last hike.
