I've got permits to do about 40 miles in the Tetons in less than two weeks, starting at Granite Canyon, up through Alaska Basin, over Paintbrush Divide and out by Leigh Lake. Does anyone have any idea how the snow levels / water crossings will be by then? I've done sketchy traverses with an ice axe and crampons before, I've done sketchy water crossings before, and I've camped in grizzly country countless times, but this will be my first time doing all of these things solo. Is that a dumb idea? Also, I'd rather not do this if I am going to be post-holing in snow the entire time.
I've had flights booked for months, so I can't really change the dates. Trying to decide now if I should go or cancel the whole thing.

Have you called the ranger station in Teton NP? That would be your best course of action.

Hope poster didn't forget an Ice Axe for Paintbrush Divide. Guy fell more than 1200' not long ago.
