I like fog too, except when I have to drive in it. Then, not so much.

May 2011 Del Norte Redwoods State Park along US101. Late afternoon some days the fog deck will just be nipping at tree top level so the light would wane with more cloud and brighten up when sunshine reached the fog that here helps illuminate the fog from further distances in the background and note that is a long steep slope down to the Pacific a mile or so west. These kind of shots are the most difficult with a view camera using expensive 4x5 sheet film. Thus at about F16 or F32, one needs to get the exposure right for the one and only shot and if light is quite dim as it was here, setting the shutter speed takes magic.

2013 shot from bluff edge on foggy May late morning, Sonoma County coastline, tafoni, goldfields, sea daisies, and sea pink. It was important to have the fog thick down at the wave whitewater as it dimmed what would have otherwise been overexposed allowing a better exposure of the lush vegetation. And waiting there in the fog is indeed a wet event. Notice the puddle on the rock frame upper center right.
Mountain cloud fog, giant sequoia, Pacific dogwood, thimbleberry

December 2016 at the Grand Canyon. A temperature inversion created fog in the Canyon.

We are fortunate to live on a ridge and on super cold (-40 degrees) days, ice fog envelopes the Tanana River Valley. The inversion can be substantial near 0 at our house (1000 feet elevation), -40 in the valleys. Alaska Range is in the background.

Photos of fog are better than any medicine. And they're beautiful as well. Fog, snow, ice and rain can transform an ordinary landscape into a breathtaking scene. They're a natural substitution for antidepressants.
