I recently hiked up along Choke Creek in the Pinchot State Forest on recently acquired state forest land. The creek was very beautiful with waterfalls, slides, pools, wet meadows, and deep forests of spruce and pine. There were several beaver dams and ponds. Some of the pine trees were very large. Some sections of the creek reminded me of the Adirondacks. This route may be a relocation of the Pinchot Trail.
