I have February reservations for Furnace Creek Campground. According to the park website, it's closed. But the land obviously doesn't disappear.
If I go anyway, will my vehicle be able to gain entry into the campground? if there is a barrier that won't allow this, will I be able to park nearby along 190, Airport Road or the Visitor's Center?
Thanks!

If the campground is officially closed? Are you ready to face no bathrooms, no trash pickup or disposal and the prospect of a hefty federal fine for intruding into a closed area? The increasing vandalism that park is reporting is likely to be responded to with ramped up enforcement. I’d suggest researching boondocking in surrounding national forests. Look for their OHV maps. With FLREA funds being tapped there are changes as to what’s open so I’d keep watch to see as your date gets closer. www.nps.gov/deva/planyourvisit/conditions.htm
