Here are a few from our trip this fall to Mesa Verde National Park. This place stole my heart and it's hard for me to be back home now knowing there are places like this in the world...

Second shot is my wife - from the million dollar highway between Silverton and Ouray. Minimal hiking in that area, but it sure was pretty!

WOW! Your photos are dramatic, and stunning especially the first one and the one of your wife. The color of the trees in the third photo is lovely - lemons and limes! Did all three of you hike in Mesa Verde?
Thanks for sharing these with us.

autumnmist Thanks for the kind words!! All six of us actually - we have four kids. Ages 11, 9, 4, and 2. The 4 and 2 year olds got rides from me and my wife everywhere we went. It was a good workout for sure!

Mesa Verde is a fantastic place! Somewhere I have a photo of me climbing the ladder into Balcony House with a 3-month-old strapped to my chest. The 4 and 2 year olds got rides from me and my wife everywhere we went. Our boys are not quite 19 months apart. We spent quite a few years carrying them over a lot of ground. Since the older one was small for his age, we kicked them both out of the packs at the same time, when the younger was 3 and his brother 4 1/2.
