Hi! I'm to to backpacking and this forum. Hoping to pick up some tips and tricks from you guys. That Travis guy seems like he knows a lot. Anyway, I'll primarily be hiking in the northeast this winter. Love it cold and love snow. Look forward to chatting with you.

Not a very friendly group. It says 7 people have viewed this thread and not one hello.

That Travis guy seems like he knows a lot. I seem that way because I like to hear myself talk. And since I can't talk, I write down what I would have said if I could talk. And then I read it out loud. Why? Were you eavesdropping or something? Oh, and welcome to the new and improved version of the forums, you imposter you sneaky guy.

Hi, eyebp.
Not sure if you'll get any tips that are worth anything as no one here actually backpacks or anything. Except that Travis guy.
I've heard the NE is where it's at, what with all the cold and snow. I'm stuck in the SE where nothing good ever happens.

I'll primarily be hiking in the northeast this winter. I thought you were in Alaska. Why you keep moving around?

Greetings, eyebp. Danged well about time you showed up here. And since you love snow and ice, we'll have Tigger and BlueBear talk to you.

Say Hey Eyebp,
Welcome to your forum. I have nothing to contribute at this time (or maybe any time) about winter hiking in the NE except go for it.
Enjoy

Welcome to our forums. I am glad to read about your passion for all things snow related. I would love to learn some new tricks from you. Where do you find the restroom in the snow? Do you wear battery operated underwear to stay warm? I have many more questions for you. Do you think Alps gear is the best? What color of clothing is warmest in winter?
