This shot of me with Crestone Needle and Cottonwood Lake (Colorado Sangres) is cringeworthy on multiple levels. (I'm the trip photographer, and my son, my usual hiking partner, can't take a good pic to save his life. So every trip usually features about 2 shots with me in them, and they always suck.) Between the wind blowing my goofy-ass hat back (also making me appear to be completely bald), and the goofy-ass Captain Morgan stance... Ugh...

I actually think thats a good pic! LOL. The scenery is A1, that's for sure. It was super windy through the saddle where we are standing, which is why I am kind of awkwardly braced against the wind a la Cpt. Morgan.

Me too, I don't really think that's a bad photo.

I don't have many pictures of me hiking because I'm usually the one taking the pictures or I'm hiking solo.Hucachuca Mountains. Nine years ago.

My husband takes good photos. But once in a while he goes ahead and snaps one when he should know better. I won't post any of the ones he's taken from below while I'm climbing, but he caught me a few weeks ago using my backside to save my knees.
