Anyone want to get together with family/friends on an annual basis like they do with Pickle Gulch in Colorado? We could pick a location centralized or agreed upon location each year at a campground/other?
It should be relatively easy to put together and I'd be glad to start getting something planned/reserved.

Yes, exactly. I'd go to Pickle Gulch myself (made several attempts) except my volunteer schedule is too busy during that time and I would bet it would be much easier for folk to get together regionally anyway vs. flying across the country.

Are you still in Bend? I'd swing by if you plan something in the Pacific Northwest and my work scheduled allowed it. Yes, I'm still in Bend. Based upon the region, I was thinking Cascade range somewhere up between Washington/Oregon but would definitely be up for discussion of ideal location.

I am not sure about doing a thing do this year, time to schedule would be kinda short and I have 2 more backpacking trips planed for this year, along with a few other thing do scheduled.

I'd be traveling from Boise, Id.
Just to put a pin on the map, how about something around Newberry National Volcanic Monument? Does the place have woods to camp?

I am in northern California (just outside Lassen Volcanic NP), and identify more with Oregon than the dystopic hell-hole of the megapolis down south. I suppose I am still invited?
Newberry Crater Area sounds good. Lots to do in that area. The FS must have some group sites in campgrounds near there. If not Newberry, then any of the Cascade Lakes campgrounds?

Not sure this is a good idea. If you put it together someone like me might show up.

Totally interested! We are now in Maple Valley, WA (Kent / Renton area) and would show up As long as you don't mind me carting along a 3 year old...

Well, apparently I would be going solo. :D I get 3 day weekends during the summer so can make it to Oregon easily enough.

Assuming I'm in the right half of the country (or the right hemisphere), I'd come to party with all you folks. Since I have no fixed address right now, I guess I can join any regional get-together I want!

I'm going to be in Oregon next Summer, for week or so. Not quite sure when yet. I'd pop in occasionally for any regional gathering.
