OK, I know....not all of you have kids, and even fewer have to worry about allergies in said kids. The Teal Pumpkin Project is something we do every year now, as our youngest has severe food allergies. It is a simple project, that helps bring awareness to that 1 in every 12 children has food allergies. It is as simple as putting out a teal pumpkin and offering a safe treat. Do you get trick or treaters where you live? Would you like to find out more? www.foodallergy.org/teal-pumpkin-project

Now all we need to do is find some nut/dairy/gluten/egg/soy free treats. Zdonut

Lol...yeah, Alistaire would be "MONEY!!!!" and grab that quarter ;-) The hardware store around the corner has a vintage choo choo ride on train that costs 25 cents a ride. Heehee
Anyhow, I do 2 bowls - one is safe candy (for example Smarties are made in a peanut free factory), the second bowl is toys like little bubbles, Hot Wheels, glwo bracelets, etc. We also put out mini Play Dough, though it contains wheat.

It's funny though, Walker, our middle son, who is 5 1/2, he is very protective of Alistaire - and knows what most peanut candy looks like and body blocks him from it. Halloween was pretty funny last year - Walker very loudly at doors "No peanuts please!!"

Watching my daughters interact is still one of my favorite things. And they're now 21 and 24.
