I'm sure that's true. However the last activity on that site was over 11 hours ago with most being at least a day old. I'd say this forum is off to a pretty good start, DC.

When I created my trip report earlier today, the preview option didn't work for me. You can switch between BB Code and Preview I think, I've been using the quick reply for replies so it's not showing either right now.

the quick reply for replies There is no preview button in Quick Reply, but you can switch to just Reply (top bar-right_. This has been suggested to Proboards many times (I make a daily visit to Support to read what others are asking how to do. Excellent resource!) It has been explained that it is a huge code requirement to set up Ajax code to create a preview,They said just use the Reply box with its built-in preview. BTW, the Quick Reply and Quick Quote are both add-ons using plug-ins, making things mo betta, IMHO.

Checked the old Forums, it appears people are still signing up over there. Makes sense, it IS connected to the magazine site and their nice FB page etc. so it's going to attract traffic, just not retain much of anyone in it's hobbled performance form.

I can see that. In fact I was stumped when I started adding boards, found nothing at all in the old forum to define what was what. I got help from vino who sent me the USGS list of how they define the regions. But I absolutely know that this breaks the way YOU guys want it, and you win. I'll do that now. Give me a few minutes.

I think I got it, please check both MidAtlantic and Southern,. The states are in odd "location" order when Oklahoma is last on the list, etc. But if the states are in the region you expectt, it's all good.

About half my posts so far seem to have disappeared. I'll have to start keeping more careful track.

Will the Women's Forum be back? It was used infrequently, but IMHO it was informative.

Can you include Nevada with California? We Nevadans relate more to the Sierra & Lake Tahoe area.

Nevada is NOT on the Pacific....yet! But that raises an interesting question. I was going to put CA in it's own group (Yosemite is NOT in the southwest!) until I was sent info on how the USGS makes regions. It's very different That's how the Pacific region was listed. Nevada? Yes, I clearlyy get that there's more connection to Tahoe than Salt Lake, so why not? I'll move it, but I don't want everyone in the US to start rearranging the state maps.
