One of my only gripes about Packit Gourmet meals has been the excessive packaging and narrow, tall bags which are difficult to eat out of. Now they're fixing to introduce these new bags.

trinity That is great news. I would have bought more for this season, but packaging was an issue. Downsized to a dozen of Texas Mesquite and Cajun Chicken Salads and perhaps 2-3 Tuscan Beef Stew. Thanks for the update!

I’d seen that in their FB post. Yes, very welcome news. Though I still would consider repacking into ziplocks as a potentially necessary option for critical bear canister packing.

Thanks, I'll be stocking up later. Really the best of the prepackaged meals in my book.

trinity Thanks again for the post. At home for a few days before going back on the trail. Rec'd PackitGourmet Texas Mesquite and Cajun Chicken Salads today. New packaging is way less obnoxious. Will be changing dinner habits from camp, cook and eat to eat, hike and camp. The non-cook aspect reduces time and will result in practicing better bear safety protocol and more miles per day.
