Anyone up to Pharaoh lake via Crane pond Rd recently? Is the Crane pond dirt rd drive-able. I have a 1500 Silverado 4x4 stock no lift. I'd prefer cutting the boring flat dirt rd out of my hike but not at the cost of burying my truck in 3' of mud. I see differing reports about the condition of the maintained rd. Any advice is greatly appreciated. Thank You in advance

You could take the Long Swing Trail from 74. Take you to Crane all on trail. I imagine it's driveable, first part of Pharoah Lake is. I only go in that way in the winter. Have a good time. Weekends have been busy, shelters go quick.

We walked up Crane Pond Road on the way to Goose Pond a couple weeks ago. It is definitely drivable for that first mile. I'm not certain that vehicles are permitted past that point.
