No way I can pick a single favorite Yeah, I've noticed that several people have mentioned multiple parks, unable to choose between them.

Judging National Parks is a matter of grading diamonds.
My sentimental favorite is Acadia.
But there are so many, diverse and beautiful. Yellowstone is in my backyard, and I do love it.

Grand Canyon, Yosemite, Smokies, Acadia is where I've been at least multiple times, so they must constitute my favorites. Hopefully, many more to go and more to add to the list. Point Reyes this spring, I've only been once.

I've always been smitten for Glacier National Park. I fell in love with her contours at first sight, I won't deny. A shallow relationship from the beginning, for all I wanted to see were those magnificent, snow-encrusted ramparts thrusting high into a blue, Montana sky. And I did. Then she showed me her savage side, when we made the acquaintanceship of a mama grizzly bear on the western flanks of the divide. Her long hair was bent in the glacial breezes, and she got close. Too close. Close enough to see her butter colored fangs and feel the rattling of my heart as it dislodged from my soul. But the Grizzly veered into a boulder field, and our pepper sprays slowly returned to our hips. We sure showed that bear, we thought. It's a sporty place, Glacier is. Wrought with the very best scenery, I think, in the lower 48. And I've been to a few. But if I could only pick one National Park, I would never-the-less head north of the border and go to Banff. I've seen a lot of pretty places in my day, but that place is off the charts. As my elder brother would say, it's like Raquel Welch in hot pants. And that just dates my brother, I suppose. But Banff is still beautiful. And Raquel Welch probably is too. Amen.

My favorite National Park is the only one I've been to and that would Isle Royale. However, I think technically it's a National Shore

Paying an exorbitant entrance fee People often pay more to valet their car at dinner than to enter a National Park for a week.

Tough to choose just one! There is something about Zion that just captivates me in a spiritual way and I will keep going back. Saguaro National Park was pretty special, too - I did a Sierra Club volunteer trip there, so not as much hiking - I'm looking forward to exploring it again next fall/winter. Big Bend is another one I need to return to again.

Glacier NP, Rocky Mountain NP, and Grand Teton NP are my favorites. I also love Yellowstone, Mt. Rainier, and Badlands. Hard to pick favorites as many of you have stated previously since they are all so special in their own way.

Just don't find myself travelign anywhere near there anytime soon.

My favorite is of course Grand Teton. I'm always intrigued by people that say " I've been to..." and it turns out they did little more than a driveby. Yhat's the case with Grand Teton because so many are in a hurry to get to Yellowstone. Some don't even drive the Inner Park road, sticking to the highway in the Sagebrush sea pretty darn far from the Tetons and magnificent chain of lakes at the base. then many people hardly hike the park at all. Sven, you ever hike Rimrock Lake? Coyote Lake? Grizzly Bear Lake? Ortenburger Lake? Moose Basin Divide? Even just Hanging Canyon and Lake of the Crags?
We love the places that move us the most. I loved Glacier but in all fairness simply didn't spend the time there others obviously have. I'll never forget sitting atop Static Peak when I was 12 or the Grand Teton when I was 15. There are many places in our NP System that move each of us in different ways. My favorite places on earth are in National Forests.
May you find your best of places wherever they may be.
