Travis, those are some incredibly beautiful photos; the first two are especially lovely. The reflection and the mix of contrasting and complimentary shapes are fascinating.
Rebecca, your Pinnacles photos are stunning as well - the first one suggests so much (for lack of a better description) "power" in the rocks, yet they're softened by the trees and the hills/mountains in the background. The gentle rolling "hill" behind the larger columns reminds me of a dinosaur's spine.
I love this thread - all I have to do is scan the photos and whatever mood I'm in is elevated by the extraordinary photos.

Badlands NP Grand Prismatic Pool (note: I am on the boardwalk, NOT walking across the pool as seems to be popular now) Devil's Tower & the Missouri Buttes (an underrated formation) Sunrise in the Badlands

These photos are incredible, and have me re-writing my top-5-to-see list. Nature makes me pretty emotional anyway, but I feel slightly on the verge of tears. Also, I'm packing up my things and moving, permanently, into Northern Cascades. Or maybe Zion. I don't have a choice, honestly. The alpenglow I'm seeing in some of these shots... I wasn't sure if it's okay to just post without adding something useful, so here's a couple of shots I took in the Smokies around this time last year. This was the first time I'd seen the mountains since I was little, and I definitely had to set down my pack halfway up to the AT and cry. My poor hiking partner was so bewildered.

Once again I'm overcome by the beauty of nature, and by the way the posters have captured it and shared it with others. I love the texture, color, and formation contrasts, yet they still blend together and complement each other.
As I was thinking how almost overwhelmingly stunning are the combinations of distinct elements, I was thinking....beyond what nature has to offer, who could ask for anything man/woman made that could equal nature's own pallettes and designs? Even the most beautifully decorated home couldn't equal what has developed naturally over billions of years.
Thanks again to everyone who's sharing photos. You truly make my day and elevate my spirits
