I'm planning to visit Portugal next year and seeking hiking recommendations. I read about the Fisherman’s Trail bpbasecamp.freeforums.net/thread/10109/portugal-fishermans-trail, which sounds wonderful, but I'm more interested in trekking around Arrábida Natural Park, ideally on a trail ending at a scenic beach. I'd appreciate hearing from those who've hiked this region and are willing to share experiences, tips, and suggestions. A few questions: - Is September through November still a good time to hike in Arrábida Natural Park if I wish to avoid crowds?
- What's the best way to reach the park from Lisbon or nearby cities?
- I understand there's a vineyard in Setúbal - has anyone visited it?
Thank you in advance.

Arrábida Natural Park sounds beautiful for hiking. September-November should have mild weather and smaller crowds. The park is east of Lisbon - you can take a train from there to Setubal then bus/taxi to trails. I'd start at trailhead 2 and hike to Figueirinha beach. The Setubal vineyard could also be worth a visit. Have a great time exploring the parks scenic coastline and trails!

Thank you for your helpful reply! I’m glad to hear that September-November is a good time to visit Arrábida Natural Park. I appreciate the transportation tips and the trail recommendation. Figueirinha beach looks stunning in the photos I’ve seen online, and it looks like the Setubal vineyard isn't too far from the area, so it is worth a visit. Now that my main goal is planned, I am now looking at some side trips. Thanks again for sharing your experience and suggestions. I can’t wait to explore this beautiful region of Portugal!
