OK outdoor Northern California folks, here is something to do at short notice this next week. Especially for we old senior folks when everyday we wake up is Saturday as the US government pays us to do nothing. So heads up on a most excellent outdoor experience one can brag about and be fitter for it. People are welcome to hang out and or tag along some while I'm working landscapes. Have been occasionally visiting this special place for over two plus decades. Don't expect this year will top what I captured above in amazing 2018. But hey, will be glad to have that wrong haha. The reserve always has so many great intimate landscape subjects that alone could occupy days. Today at TV news site saw a fresh news photo of people at the reserve that shows goldfields are at their super glowing yellow bright fresh stage that only lasts a few days and has a wonderful strong sweet fragrance.
WU forecasts for a location regionally near North Table Mountain for Friday and Saturday show lowest breezes. Because calm is essential for the wildflower landscape focus stack blending I do these years, I only bother to take my camera out on these spring road trips if wisely checking web weather wind information. Even during film days, calm was important. But with focus stack blending, each shot in a set must be in near alignment for the framed zone to be in focus lest post processing pain or blending impossibilities.
Will likely be in the parking lots early each day as the promised land is a mile pluses of different landscapes fun too. So have a couple days to gear up for this easy 2 day road trip. Just came back from a US101 SR58 I5 SR152 loop 2 day trip. Well watered this late winter, Pacheco State Park over the last couple weeks has been for this photographer, a gold mine of blue oak savanna lush green landscapes for me this last two weeks.
Below, for web downsized version, bird's eye gilia, butter and eggs, California goldfields, blue dicks, popcorn flower, tomcat clover, filaree, recently leafed out blue oak. Full image 4000x6000 pixels single frame 20 shot focus stack blend.
