I and the Doctor are frustrated about how much pain I am still in and the lack of progress in my flexibility after my knee replacement surgery in January. He put me out and drew fluid out of my knee last Friday. The test results came back and were negative as far as infection is concerned. He's going to send me to a ortopedist oncologist in Oklahoma City. She is one of 200 having that specialty in the United States.
Hopefully, she finds the problem which isn't something terrible. For the moment, we're headed to the Grand Canyon next week to see our son and his family. We'll decide whether I can handle going on to California after that.

Sorry to read about this situation, as well as to learn that you're still experiencing pain. I certainly hope that the oncologist finds nothing wrong, and that some means of helping you recover fully can be found.
Getting out to the GC might be the best healing method right now though; just the peace and relaxation, as well as visiting your son, will be good therapeutic healing in and of itself.
Best wishes for a good result, as well as a rewarding visit with your son and his family.

I have returned. Sometimes I forgot my knee was there, other times it hurt especially when I stepped on an uneven surface. Next Thursday is my appointment. Fingers crossed.

Hoping for the best with this. When my mom had her knees done, something pinched a nerve in one of them. It slowed her recovery, but eventually the pain faded away.
