I don't get to take Winter photos very often, but I do love to look at them.

Nothing really spectacular about the photo itself, but this is Baldwin Cove, on Tuttle Creek Lake, Kansas, looking very cold and desolate yesterday afternoon: We live on the lake: this is about a mile north of our house. We paddle to this cove regularly during the warmer months, often seeing multiple species of water birds, birds of prey, deer, coyote, etc. This day (I was on foot--obviously not in a kayak) I saw no other living creature.

Mounts Ritter & Banner
I really like that. Such a contrast to when we were there.

echo, I love the snow-covered gargoyle! Snow days were such a special thing in my childhood, and your photos capture some of that feeling—not quite enough to do fun stuff with it, but usually enough to delay or cancel school
