I'd like to share this recipe, but I have a question: anyone know how long sun-dried tomatoes can last in a freezer bag? I need to send them out for a resupply and they will be room temp (or higher, they have to ship ground because there will be fuel canisters in the box as well) for a week or more. These tomatoes are not packed in olive oil. Thanks!
Sun-dried tomato pasta with chicken 3 oz Couscous 3/4 cup Sun-dried Tomatoes 2 TB Olive Oil 1 1/2 TB Basil 1/4 t Garlic Powder 1 TB Parmesan Cheese 1 oz Freeze Dried Chicken Put everything but the olive oil in a quart freezer bag with 1 cup boiling water, let stand 8 minutes, add olive oil and enjoy.

You need to use SD tomatoes that are dry, not packed in oil. They will last at minimun a year. Get the diced ones from Harmony House Foods.
