One word of warning that was given to me about wetsuit zippers but surely holds for tents: don’t use any lube that’s sticky or whose residue would be sticky. That’s how you’ll get a really nasty buildup of grit that will jam the teeth.

Maybe check if the zipper's lock is working. The tab the zipper is attached to should rock a little. It has a little finger that locks the zipper and when you pull on the zipper the finger rocks out of lock position. It should work easily. If not that might mean some WD40. One way you might want to try is away from the tent spray a Q-tip with WD40 then use that to carefully apply it to the zipper.
Somewhere else I wrote this but zippers can also get crushed so they pinch the zipper backing so tight they can't move. Using a small screwdriver to ever so slightly open them back up can free them. But be warned: This can break the zipper and you will have an very open door.
