I was on the parkway between devils courthouse & the graveyard fields area this past weekend. It was tough to get any pictures because the fog was so thick all day long, but the leaves are definitely starting to change. I guess these cold(er) nights have got them going. Headed to GSMNP on Saturday morning.
Post yer fall color updates here please.

Here in North Texas, the leaves are turning brown and falling off the trees. No color to speak of, although crape myrtles are still blooming. Fall is not very exciting here!

Nashville's been really dry through August and September, but we're about at average for this point the year in total. it's been a really weird year of really wet months followed by really dry months. who knows what'll become of the foliage.
let us know what's up in the Smokies, ULB. you guys gonna be in the backcountry at all? I've been checking the Purchase Knob cam for the past several days but it's been rainy every day since then.

We had planned on biking the cades cove loop in the morning before the hoards of cars are allowed in, then do lead cove up to bote mtn. This all assuming the weather makes a drastic change from what's forecasted.

Until yesterday, it was still 90 here in South Alabama. We will get yellow and red in a few months when it drops to the 60s.

no, we'll probably just hike up lead cove to the bote mtn intersection, eat lunch, and come back down.

Underbrush is starting to change into maroons and reds, but most of our hills are still green. (Far eastern Oklahoma near Fayetteville and Fort Smith Arkansas).

Lower elevations of the Smokies are just starting to turn (dogwoods, locust, etc). We haven't had a cold night yet though so nothing has trigger that rapid change. Normally we get some snow up high by the middle of Oct but we have been a little above average for a while now.

We're beginning to get yellow and red tinges in the leaves, but nothing spectacular.

In the GSMNP this week, noticed color mostly at high elevations. A little bit of color lower down, but nothing major.

Here in eastern Oklahoma, the greens are beginning to get dull, but they aren't turning.
