My wife, dog, and I are new to the area and are looking to go somewhere with beautiful views that is more off trail and secluded. I go to the mountains to get away from people haha and we are experienced so have no worries of getting lost.
Any one have any suggestions?

There used to be places like that in the NC/VA mountains, then someone blabbed about it and now everybody goes there!

Roaring Plains and North Fork Mtn have awesome views and few people, both in WV.
Standing Stone Trail in PA is rugged with many great views, few people on most of it. Same with the Mid State Trail.
Or Pine Mountain Trail in KY, or the Ridge Trail (think that's the name) in Cumberland Gap Nat'l Historic Park.

Roaring Plains and North Fork Mtn have awesome views and few people, both in WV. Roaring Plains is adjacent to Dolly Sods, correct? I've visited DS and have been wanting to check out RP. North Fork Mountain is a linear trail, so a shuttle is needed. I day hiked the north half many years ago. Saw plenty of views and not another person.

Yes, it is south of Dolly Sods. I think it has better views.

West Virginia is in the Mid-Atlantic region, but might as well post this here since it's in the discussion. A quick internet search turned up what looks like a challenging hike with beautiful scenery in Roaring Plains: www.midatlantichikes.com/id121.html
