Some of you may already know this, but I found it interesting.
For every pound you lose, you burn about 8 less calories per day....so if you lose 30 pounds, that's 240 calories.
In other words, if you lose 30 pounds, you also have to cut 240 calories from your maintenance diet.

Yes. After a significant weight loss or change in body composition you must recalculate your BMR.

I only count carbs, and not all that closely. It has my Diabetes T2 under control. I have been fortunate not to ever gain much weight since I turned 30. Was about 205 then, and the same now at 65. "Don't hate me 'cause I'm pretty."
