... eating lunch. A sandwich and some Sun Chips. They didn't have a single-serving size of chips, so I bought a large bag (I'd have some for lunches later this week). I finished the sandwich and started munching on the chips while doing some work on the computer. A few minutes later, I was appalled to notice nearly the entire bag was gone... about 850 calories-worth! Whoops!!! I guess I'll be taking the long bike ride home!

Salt, grease and sugar all in one package. Your body can't say no.

Yep. Sure tasted good. Coupled with mindless eating isn't a good thing.
Luckily, it was also quite filling. Skipped normal dinner and had a small plate of dirty rice after my daughter's softball game.

I'm pondering the fate of my office snack supply. I keep a few snacks on hand to allow better quality and lower quantity than the vending machine. However, I tend to eat more of them overall because of their easier availability. I should revert to mostly vegetable snacks.

But, vegetable snacks aren't nearly as tasty as salty, greasy, sugary snacks!
Just sayin'.

The four basic food groups: Sugar, salt, fat, and preservatives. Add alcohol and you have a well balanced meal.
All seriousness aside... I try to avoid fast food whenever practicable. But today I stopped in a Subway chain (haven't been in one in quite a while) and they offer salads. Basically all the sandwich fixins without the bread, and put in a bowl. So I had a Veggie Delight sandwich sans bread. I did not know they offered that.

As far as fast food goes, Subway ain't too bad. For convenience while travelling, I get a sub there about once per week... usually ham or turkey loaded with spinach, lettuce, and tomatoes.
