Good morning. This is my first post to this thread. Today is the four month mark since my beautiful wife passed away. One message within that would be to embrace this day and the people who are important in our lives.

Morning, all. Just debating whether it's worth it to get out of bed to go pee....

Good morning. I've been on Duty with a 14 month old since Wednesday but her Dad doesn't work today, he's been getting 15 hour days with only two hours off mid day between his two jobs, so she likes grandma ok, but misses him like crazy. Once he's home I realize how much more exhausting toddlers are now that I'm 22 years older.
Last nights fireworks were an expensive Dud. The local ones at the beach were great but the city display went above the fog and created colored clouds but very little could be seen. Rumor has it that a couple tragedies occurred, but I only heard the scanner calls, not the final outcomes. A mortar tipped over and exploded and hit a 4 year old girl, and ricocheted into a man and both had to go to the hospital. Also a thirteen year old boy was holding one when it exploded. I hope you all had safe, but fun days yesterday.
The house is still cool and quiet and I haven't even started the coffee yet at 8:30 Considering going back to bed
Oops, just typing that and heard, "grandma!"

Morning, all. Just debating whether it's worth it to get out of bed to go pee.... I'm guessing that your wife thinks it's worth it.

And a fine " Good Morning" to all. As my usual routine for the weekend, I took my "Maligator" to the beach for sunrise. Totally worth the effort

Calidream, welcome to the thread! My sympathy for your loss.
The sun has come out here, helping me cople with my many loads of post-trip laundry, gear-drying, etc. I was so tired last night I never even looked out to see if I could spot any fireworks. They did not keep me up.
Oh, look! It's noon! That means I can go eat lunch!

Today is the four month mark since my beautiful wife passed away. One message within that would be to embrace this day and the people who are important in our lives. Mine has been gone for over 8 yrs, and I still miss her from time to time. I have moved forward, and your advice to relish the time we have with our loved ones is wise. Several of us here have lost loved ones, and there is no end to the goodness this community has done in the past. If you need anything, Message me and I will listen. If it is beyond my powers, I will try to steer you to a good source. There is a burden you bear, but it doesn't have to be a solo trip.

Thank you Rebecca and Zeke. It's been a long day (it's been a long four months) and your responses ease my heart some on this difficult day.

My weather today will be vastly different from what I have the rest of the week. Tomorrow, I fly to Alaska for a kayaking trip. See you all on the 16th.
